  Ensuring a safe and fair community is at the heart of our shared vision. Safety isn't just about locking our doors, it's about safeguarding our businesses and our neghborhoods. As a community advocate, my commitment goes beyond merely enhancing public safety, it centers around the fundamental principle of equity.

  Addressing homelessness is a real challenge; one that many cities, including Palm Desert, are grappling with. However, it's crucial to understand that addressing this issue and providing secure, affordable housing tailored to residents' needs is not just a moral imperative but also enhances the overall safety and well-being of our community.

  To tackle this complex issue, I'll be working closely with key stakeholders, including State and County authorities, regional government agencies, and community-based organizations. Together, we will seek practical, compassionate, and inclusive long-term solutions to homelessness, ensuring that every member of our community has the opportunity to thrive.

• Quality of Life

  Preserving and expanding Palm Desert's outstanding quality of life is a commitment I take seriously. Improving our parks, playgrounds, and green spaces to provide all community members with safe, clean, and accessible outdoor areas is a priority, as is ensuring that no one goes without fresh, healthy food in our community.

  Additionally, expanding broadband access to underserved areas of our community is crucial to empower community members with the resources they need to thrive in today's interconnected world.

• Economic Growth and Sustainable Development

  I'm committed to prioritizing responsible and sustainable growth while supporting local businesses and job creation. Enhancing our commercial areas and assisting local entrepreneurs, with a focus on inclusive economic development, is part of the plan.

  Embracing sustainability is key to our city's future. I'm excited to collaborate with city partners to integrate eco-friendly features into new development projects making North Palm Desert more walkable, bike-friendly, and environmentally conscious. Advocating for updated policies, incentives, and partnerships to reduce greenhouse gas emissions is essential, paving the way for a thriving, renewable energy-powered future.

• Affordable Housing for Every Resident

  Affordable housing is a fundamental human right, and I am wholeheartedly dedicated to addressing the housing affordability crisis. Palm Desert has already taken steps in the right direction with several affordable housing developments planned for North Palm Desert. I'll advocate for a multifaceted approach including incentivizing developers to include affordable housing units in new projects, protecting long-time residents from unfair evictions, and converting existing affordable housing into high-quality properties.
